About Nordre Aker
This area is located north of Oslo and invites visitors to enjoy the wild nature and beautiful views over Norwegian lakes. Nordre Aker is bordering on the largest lake in Oslo, Maridalsvannet. This lake serves as the main drinking water supply for the city, as well as a popular attraction. Visitors are recommended to explore the east side of the lake, a beautiful area with lush forest, a wide array of paths to discover, and a stunning view over the lake. The full tour is around 8 kilometers and take approximately 2,5 hours. Close by is the Technical Museum, a perfect and fun stop for everyone in the family. The museum offers over 25 different themed exhibitions about technique and medicine. End the day in the café that serves food, drinks and sweets.

This city district has a population of around 52.300 people spread on an area of 13,6 square kilometers. Nordre Aker stretches from ‘Trondhemsveien’ in the east to ‘Sognsvannsbekken’ in the west, and from ‘Bandebakken’ in the south to ‘Solemskogen’ in the north. From Oslo, Nordre Aker is the farthest area, located approximately 5 kilometers to the north.
